Anything goes challenge - Pets

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week it's the ever popular Anything Goes challenge.

This card used the Quartet stamp, 8502-U, Pets Quartet. I stamped it using my stamp platform with Versafine ink and then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. I colored the heart in the paw red and then stamped another paw print in the inside of the card. I did layer this with black cardstock and mounted in onto a 5 x 5 card base.

Why not play along with us and start stamping up a card now. We can’t wait to see your creations!
Don’t forget… Take part in any of our challenges, the more you play along, the more chances you have to win! Each submission enters you in the drawing for our gift certificate. And you don’t always have to use our stamps in your creations, but we will reward you if you do. Each submission using a
Repeat Impressions stamp will earn you an additional entry in the drawing!

Also, check out our Rock Star blogs to see what they did with the challenge.

Thinking of you

Hello. Playing in the sketch challenge over at The Paper Players today.

Oh my goodness, did this card give me fits. I really struggled with the top left corner fishtail banners. I tried so many things and they just were not working. Finally found something that looked half way decent, and went with it. I guess that's why they are "challenges," huh?

Stamps and paper are from Papertrey, Ink. Used the lattice embossing folder to emboss the banners, which are a die from My Favorite Things.

Thanks for stopping in, have a great day!

Things have a way of working out

Hello. Playing last minute in this weeks Freshly Made Sketch.

It's a gloomy day today, so I got out my water color markers from Arteza and played around. As you can see, I was a little creative with the sketch.

Petunia stamps is from Pretty Pink Posh and the sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

Making this post short and sweet today, places to go and things to see. Have a great weekend.

Happy Birthday

I'm sharing the birthday card I made for Wendy, who is the owner of Repeat Impressions, which I also happen to design for.  Anyway, I had sent her the card prior to taking a photo of it and had to make another. So, here is the duplicate to post for her today.

The "happy birthday" dies are from The Ton.  The background flower stamp and dragonfly are Repeat Impression stamps. The flower background stamp is stamped in veramark and then heat embossed using white embossing powder. I then blended some distress oxide inks on it and mounted it behind the die cut panel. It made a very colorful and cheerful CAS card.

Happy Birthday, Wendy!

Inspiration photo challenge

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to the inspiration photo below as your jumping off platform.

I was inspired by the round bowls and the color combo and came up with this.

9702-O, Gumball Machine
9703-F, Have A Ball
9710-I, Gumballs

Copic markers used to color the machine and the gum balls and I used my Brother Scan N Cut to cut out the machine and gum balls.

Cotton tail

Hello. Using one of my all time favorite Holiday stamps from the former Angel Company to create this card.

I started with the sketch over at Freshly Made Sketch and teamed it up with the Easter challenge over at Simon Says Stamp.

Bunny is colored with Copic's and I used the cotton off of a Q-Tip for his tail. The grass is done using a distress technique by applying some rubbing alcohol onto an old paint brush. Kind of gives it a bit of depth.

That's it for now. Thanks for stopping by.

Tic-Tac-Toe challenge - Yikes

It’s time for another challenge over at The House That Stamps Built. This week we were challenged to use the following Tic-Tac-Toe board.

I went diagonal and chose;, washi tape, dimension and cats.  The stripes are washi tape. I thought they sort of resembled scratch marks. The cat panel is popped up using foam tape to create the dimension. Cat is colored with Copic's.

So, what are you waiting for?!

Cherry blossoms

Hello. Playing in two challenges today. The Paper Players is all about pink and The Twofer Card Challenge is about blossoms. Here is what I did with them.

The cherry blossom stamp is from Technique Tuesday's Greenhouse Society. They are stamped in versafine, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and colored with Copic's.  Sentiment on the top card is from Technique Tuesday and the bottom sympathy sentiment is from Papertrey, Ink.

On the bottom card, I stamped the cherry blossom branch randomly onto a piece of Neenah solar white, heat embossed with detail white embossing powder and then used Distress spun sugar ink to color it. Dot rectangle dies are from My Favorite Things.

you make life beautiful

Hi there. Playing in The Paper Players theme challenge today.  It's all about Spring!

Anybody recognize these old stamps from Hero Arts? I was searching and destroying for another flower stamp and came across these in my wooden stamp organizer and decided to play with them. I used watercolor paper and Ranger distress ink to watercolor them. Added some dimensional white enamel on the dots in the flowers.

All cardstock is from Papertrey, Ink. Sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp.

Spring can't come soon enough for me! Thanks for stopping by.

Pick of the week - one layer card

Hello. It's my turn to do a "pick of the week" over at The Houses That Stamps Built, and I have chosen to do a one layer card.

I stamped the hot air balloons and the masked them to create the sky background. I used sky memento ink and a stencil. The balloons are colored with Copic markers.

I used stamps 9116-N, Balloons and 2808-D, follow your dreams sentiment for this and can find them over at Repeat Impressions. They will be on sale for only a short time, so grab them while you can.

I enjoy the challenge of creating a card with no layers and hope you find the inspiration to, as well.

Thanks for stopping in.

Birthday balloons

Hello. Playing in a few challenges today.

Balloons are made using a stencil from Neat and Tangled and Ranger Distress inks. Balloon strings are drawn on using a stardust gelly pen.  Birthday sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. The little stars are from a package of sequins that I have in my stash. Green cardstock from MFT used as a card base. Kept this rather clean and simple to use as a masculine birthday card.

Thanks for stopping by.
